Did you know that we ARE at war?…..
We should be anyway! As Christians, we have been delivered from the dominion of darkness and translated into the spiritual Kingdom of His dear Son (Col 1:13). Inside this Kingdom, God’s divine power has given us everything that pertains to life and Godliness, but it comes through the knowledge of Him who has called us to knowledge and virtue. (2 Pet. 1:3).
If you aren’t actively fighting against the lies, deception and theft of the enemy, it might be because you don’t realize all that was purchased for you by the death, burial, resurrection and enthronement of Jesus. He won the battle against sin, and death, and has restored to mankind, all that Adam gave away at the fall of man.
Look at Gen 1:26-28, God made man in His image and gave him the authority to rule and reign the earth. Ps 115:16 The heavens, even the heavens belong to God, but the earth hath He given to the children of men. Rom 5:17 It’s this abundance of Grace and the gift of righteousness that we received at salvation that enables us to rule and reign. Mt 28:18 Mt 16:19, Mt 18:18, Lk 10:19 Then Jesus came to them and said, “ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me and behold I give unto you……
Have Your Guns Loaded!
The bible tells us that we are not wrestling against FLESH and BLOOD but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in heavenly places. Ask yourself this question… Are you fighting? Are you allowing circumstances to rule your life? 2 Cor 10:4-5 says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are not of this world, they are supernatural weapons that have the ability to pull down strongholds, casting down every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
The Devil Has No Teeth
Satan was defeated at the Cross! The bible says that he roams about “like” a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour. If you do not fight him with spiritual weapons, (which is the Word of God), then he will strip you of all of your spoil. Meaning, he will take all that the Lord has restored to you. Jn 10:10 says that the thief comes to kill steal and destroy, but I have come to give you life and give it to you more abundantly….. Rom 8:15 says “For your did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again unto fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry Abba, Father. And as sons, “He said, when you pray, say Father, your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Well….what’s going on in heaven? There is no lack, disease, poverty, anxiety etc….
A Wrestling Match
The warfare is in our heads….the conflict involves trusting in our natural mind and its understanding verses trusting in the promises of the Word. Our carnal experience says one thing and the Word says another. Prov 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.” As Children of God, or sons of God we must understand that we have entered into a spiritual kingdom. The Word of God is spiritual but it manifest in the natural realm. You must believe the supernatural word of God and use faith to bring it into the natural realm.
Grace In Abundance
The Grace of God has provided us everything, but we can only access it by faith! 1 Jn 5:14 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us-whatever we ask- we know that we have what we have ask of Him. Jn 14:13 “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father. You may ask anything in my name and I will do it.” As a Christian, when we pray, we are supposed to pray with assurance and confidence…..not doubt! James 4:2 “You want something but you don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask.” God is for our good and not for our evil. He has delivered us from evil and left of His Word which is His Will for us as new creations. We have a Father son covenant with the Lord but we must operate in faith to receive the manifestation of the promises. God is not the author of evil, chaos or destruction. He is a God of Love and He wants His Righteousness to reign here on earth!
We are fully equipped to manifest the Kingdom….now go ye therefore!
