I confess who I am in Christ, do you? It’s not a position of arrogance, I simply agree with what the Word of God says about me and then by faith, I verbally release those truths. We have a covenant with God that is even greater than the first covenant . This covenant is not based on our performance, but God’s performance. This covenant was not our idea, it was God’s. His covenant reveals His nature which is and has always been love, provision, relationship….
I remember the Lord my God, for it is He who gives me the power to create wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to my forefathers Deut 8:18. Because I seek the Lord (by right of my need and on the authority of His word) I shall not lack any beneficial thing Ps 34:10. He wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers 3 Jn 2. And He hath made me like a tree firmly planted by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in season, its leaf also shall not fade or wither, and everything I do shall prosper Ps 1:33. He has made me to be the head and not the tail, the lender and not the borrower Deut 28:13,Prov 22:7 In and through Him I have overcome the world!
I trust in, rely on, and am confident in You O Lord; I say, You are my God. My times are in your hands. Ps 56:3-4…… I have victory everywhere I go 2 Sam 8:6. Because those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you Ps 91:19. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all of your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with his love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is restored like the eagles’ Ps 103:2.
So it shall be that he who invokes (speaks) a blessing on himself in the land shall do so by the God of truth and fidelity. And he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth and faithfulness to His promises because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hidden from my eyes….. Is 65:16. God is true to his promises. The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching over My word to see that it fulfills itself Jer 1:12.
God’s power has given us everything that pertains to life and Godliness….. We have these things because we know Him….He has called us to his eternal glory in Christ 2 Pet 1:3,4 and because of his divine nature of glory and goodness, we can participate in his precious promises and escape the corruption in this world caused by evil desires.
The battle for our benefits is in our minds…. Because we can’t see the spiritual realm with our carnal eyes, and our mind has not yet been renewed to the point that we are walking after the spirit, we doubt what we can not see. Jos 1:8 says to meditate on the word day and night and then we would make our way prosperous in all things…We meditate on the word so that our carnal mind can be transformed into thinking “word” thoughts and then we can prove it to the natural realm or our flesh Rom 12:2. We must renew our minds to what God says is true about his creation, not what our own opinion or experience says.
