The Faith of God!

Did you know that when you received salvation, you received the “faith” of the Son of God. It wasn’t a part, or a little bit, but you received “the measure” of God’s faith. Gal 2:20 tells us “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who gave Himself for me”… Most believers have a lack of understanding regarding their salvation. When we received Christ, we received the fullness of Him. Jn 1:16 “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” Without proper knowledge we certainly can’t have understanding, and therefore, we continually ask God for more of His faith. Jesus said in Hos 4:6 that His people would perish for a lack of knowledge….

Paul’s Advice

Paul did not say that he lived by faith IN the Son of God but by the faith OF the Son of God. This measure of faith that “we” received from Christ is the same measure that was given unto Paul. Paul told Timothy in Philemon 1:6 That the “communication” of thy faith may BECOME effectual by the “acknowledging” of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

When looking at the word communicate, it means to transfer or release. The word effectual means it is beginning to work or produce. Wow! Now we can understand how “the measure of faith” that was imparted into us, will start to release, transfer, work and produce just by simply acknowledging the good things that we have in Christ Jesus… it makes perfect sense!. We are new men now, having the same spirit and power that raised Christ from the dead working within us. Of our own free will, “we” must believe and embrace these new creation truths and acknowledge them.

His Grace in you

There is not enough space on paper to acknowledge all the good things which are in “us” in Christ Jesus. But for starters, I will share some of the things I acknowledge (verbalize) in me that are of Jesus.  It is important to remember that we are referring to our new man, the new spirit that is identical to Jesus.  1 Jn 4:17 tells us that “as He is so are we in this world.” We can’t acknowledge something that isn’t already there inside of your spirit.

To acknowledge, verbalize or declare simply means we are “saying” something with our mouths that is true about our new nature…..I declare that 1 Jn 4:17 says “as He is so am I in this world,” I acknowledge that I have love, joy, peace, forgiveness, meekness,  etc. That God is Love and I can walk after God in love with other people, That He is healing and that I am healed. That I am the light of the world, because He lives inside me and I am His representative here on this earth… just to name a few…

As Christians we need to know the good things that are in us through Jesus and then start acknowledging them….God has given us everything that pertains to life and Godliness, but it comes through knowledge of Jesus 2 Pet 1:3  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith Heb 12:2  The Lord gave you His faith so that you could believe on things that you could not see, taste, hear or smell…..Walk in His faith and see the kingdom manifest in your life!
